Ms. Christine Magadan

Ms. Christine Madagan

My name is Christine Magadan and I teach Grades 2 and 3 for the Success Academy.

I moved around in Southern California, from Culver City to South Central Los Angeles, and then to Chino Hills before I graduated high school. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Media and Cultural Studies at the University of California-Riverside. I am in the process of obtaining my Master's Degree in Special Education from Point Loma Nazarene University.

I grew into wanting to be a teacher. After years of tutoring students and coaching soccer, I finally made the decision to get into teaching. I went into special education especially for the parents of students with special needs. I wanted to work with parents and students and become a resource for the families I serve. However, I could not do what I do without my amazing staff and support from every professional involved in the student’s lives as well as the parents. We are a team, working for the same goals.

Mrs. Rebecca Shatzer

Mrs. Rebecca Shatzer

I was born and raised here in Southern California, and graduated from Royal High School. (Go Highlanders!) I earned my Bachelor's Degree, Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Credential, and Master's Degree in Special Education at California State University-Cannel Islands. I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I found my home working with kids with Autism almost 15 years ago when I started working with children and families doing in-home behavioral therapy. From that point forward, working with kiddos with Autism and behavioral/emotional challenges has been the focus of my career.

I am lucky enough to work with an amazing classroom staff in a classroom where everyone gets to  learn and grow together every single day.

Mrs. Karine Servant Drury

Mrs. Karine Servant-Drury

My name is Karine Servant-Drury and I teach Grades 5 and 6 for ourAmazing Success Academy.

I grew up and completed my Bachelor's Degree in France and obtained my Special Education credential at California State University-Northridge. I have 21 years experience in teaching exceptional students and have enjoyed every minute of it. Our classroom is specially designed to provide each student with the best opportunities for learning. What makes our program so special is our wonderful team of support providers, and our access to a well equipped sensory room. The students and I also benefit from a team of truly dedicated, well trained para-educators, who go above and beyond on a daily basis to make sure our group of students reach their true potential: Mrs. Stafford, Mrs. Casillas, Mrs. Anderson!

We learn, we laugh, we struggle, together, to get better!
