Paraeducators - Special Ed

Paraeducators work on an in-depth basis with individual or small groups of students to execute individual lesson plans and alternative strategies to maximize the learning experiences. They help to reinforce learning experiences for students. They assist teachers, specialists or therapists in assessing student ability and progress.  Under the guidance and direction of the teacher, paraeducators organize materials and supplies to facilitate use by students, assist students requiring help, offer positive feedback and alternatives. Lastly, paraeducators may suggest ideas and materials that offer alternative approaches to facilitate student learning.
