I am thrilled to be the new office clerk here at Santa Susana Elementary!  I am in charge of attendance, student files and records plus the Health Office.  I am here to be of service in any way I can!

Ms. Jennifer Castillo
Community Liaison

This is my first year as a community liaison but I feel like I was destined to be in this role. In 7^th grade I was an office assistant and because I was the only one in the office that spoke any Spanish they had me answering the Spanish speaking parents calls. I am also a first generation Mexican American, so I’ve been helping my parents and translating from them ever since I can remember. Some fun facts about me are, I went to Cal State Los Angeles, I enjoy Theatre, softball and love everything scary and Halloween related. I am happy and excited to be part of the Santa Susana Elementary School staff. I am here to help parents who speak Spanish and need to communicate with the staff in English. My work hours are from Monday to Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Este es mi primer año como enlace comunitario, pero siento que estaba destinado a estar en este papel. En séptimo grado era asistente de oficina y como era la única en la oficina que hablaba español, me tenían respondiendo a las llamadas de los padres que hablaban español. También soy mexicana americana de primera generación, así que he estado ayudando a mis padres y traduciendo para ellos desde que estaba chiquita. Algunos datos divertidos sobre mí son, fui a Cal State Los Angeles, disfruto del teatro, el softbol y me encanta todo lo de terror y relacionado a Halloween. Estoy feliz y emocionada de ser parte del personal de la Escuela Primaria Santa Susana y de ayudar a los padres que hablan español y necesitan comunicarse con el personal en inglés. Mi horario de trabajo es de lunes a viernes de 11:15 a.m. a 3 p.m
